Stride is looking for a website
developer to become part of our team.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a web developer with a specialist knowledge in WordPress to develop and maintain our portfolio of sites.

There are two key areas to the role, the creation of custom themes for new website builds and the implementation of new features and maintenance for existing client sites.

You will work closely with a designer and will be required to accurately translate visuals and UI concepts into working websites.

The role is weighted towards frontend development, but you will also be required to code custom features where appropriate and also manage the hosting and domain setup for projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP.
  • Experience using the CMS platform WordPress to create custom themes and features for website builds.
  • Experience with WooCommerce for eCommerce websites.
  • Familiarity with the Advanced Custom Fields WordPress plugin.
  • Understanding of DNS and hosting environments.

We are a small team that develops close relationships with our clients, and as such this is an excellent opportunity for a developer that is excited to be involved in all elements of the projects they work on.

DETAILS

Location: Chester city centre office with remote working available.
Salary: TBC depending on your experience and level of knowledge.
Term of employment: Permanent with 3 month probation period.
Start date: ASAP
