Branding for 23 Fleet Street, Liverpool. A Mexican tequila and cocktail bar. The brand took its name from the buildings address. The logotype is a device that the client didn’t want over designed and simply acts as a clear and bold visual identifier.
Pre-launch we designed a flyposter featuring the celebrated Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. We created this image by combining a striking black and white portrait of Frida with red tears. This iconic image (without any text or logo) appeared as a mysterious image around the city. Then launch invites were produced and mailed out that introduced people to the brand, merging the image with the logo.
This image then formed part of the interior as a large feature wallpaper. We also produced menus, an exterior tiled hanging sign and staff t-shirts.
